Find or Form a Group

The transition happens between people, not in isolation. Here is how to find others who are thinking about these things.

Start a conversation

The simplest thing you can do is share The Cure with someone you trust and have an honest conversation about what you each think. You don't need to agree. You don't need to decide anything. Just talk about it seriously.

Look for existing groups

In many communities, people are already experimenting with cooperative economics, community land trusts, mutual aid networks, and other structures that embody transition principles without necessarily using that name. Find them. Learn from them. Contribute what you can.

Form a reading group

A small group that reads and discusses The Cure chapter by chapter is a powerful way to develop shared understanding and identify what resonates with your specific community. Keep it informal. Keep it honest. Keep it open to disagreement.

No membership, no dues, no hierarchy

There is no organization to join. No forms, no fees, no official chapters. This is intentional. The transition is not a movement that needs your loyalty. It is an idea that either holds up to scrutiny or doesn't. Your engagement is entirely on your terms.
